You can't call yourself a vintage bike collector if you don't own (or haven't once owned) a Celeste Bianchi. I had never ridden one let alone own one, so I was in constant fear of being found out for the imposter I obviously was. Then this little beauty came up for auction.
Photographed from the left side??!
Why would anyone photograph from the left side?
There was very little to do in the way of replacing parts.
- Shimano levers on an Italian bike - a travesty.
- MKS pedals with cheap yellow straps.
- Awful uncomfortable Bianchi saddle in black with 2016 Deda bar tape and black cables.
- An unimaginative and bland colour scheme.
- The usual paint chips.
This would be one of the easier and cheaper restorations.
